EK RETAIL

For EK Retail in Amersfoort, the entire building was redesigned — from the ground floor through to the third floor. The interior supports the day-to-day activities of an organisation that collaborates with around 1,500 independent entrepreneurs in sectors including fashion, home, sport, books and DIY. The result is a cohesive working environment in which meeting, collaboration and focused work flow naturally into one another.

A wide range of spaces throughout the building have been furnished with Lande products — from the reception area and canteen to meeting rooms, focus areas, smaller consultation rooms and the boardroom. Each floor has its own distinct character, while the overall design remains recognisable and consistent. In the meeting rooms, rugs designed by the Lande Studio — tailored to each room’s colour palette — enhance both cohesion and acoustics.

The canteen accommodates different ways of working and gathering, offering both low seating and high tables. This variety creates a space that is used by different groups throughout the day, in different ways. In this way, the building forms a working environment that evolves alongside the organisation and its people.
