Achterhoek Toerisme

For Achterhoek Toerisme in Doetinchem, AtmR Groep and Studio Cherelle created a warm and inviting workplace that reflects the distinctive character of the region. Natural materials such as wood, cork and moss are combined with more robust elements, including concrete. Warm shades of green and yellow, together with imagery of the Achterhoek landscape, create a strong sense of cohesion throughout the interior.

Alongside the workspaces and meeting rooms, the open work café provides an important place for people to come together. The existing concrete columns called for a solution that would make intelligent use of the available space. With its distinctive, winding shape, the Buggy Snake table flows around the columns, creating a generous communal table with a variety of seating positions while leaving ample room to move freely through the café.

The Rondo Box also forms part of the work café, creating a more enclosed setting within the open space for focused work or meetings. Its expressive upholstery complements the warm colour palette of the interior, while giving the Rondo Box a distinct presence of its own.

Together, Buggy Snake and Rondo Box bring different ways of using the work café into one space: open and social when desired, with privacy and focus when needed.

The Buggy Snake table winds its way around the existing concrete columns, making clever use of the available space in the work café. Its flowing configuration provides plenty of room to sit and gather, while keeping circulation through the open space clear.
