The Theatrium forms the underground heart of the Academy of Theatre and Dance at ArtEZ University of the Arts in Arnhem. From the main entrance, a staircase leads down into the building, where students gather in a space dedicated entirely to meeting, exchange and creation.

Within this atrium, 1st Class sofas by Lande have been selected. The sofas provide comfortable seating where students can retreat between classes to read, work or connect. Their arrangement supports both individual moments of focus and informal conversations or group interaction.

The Theatrium pulses with the energy of the academy. In the surrounding studios and rehearsal spaces, dancers and theatre-makers are constantly in motion, while on the distinctive purple floor, students from the programmes in Dance Education, Theatre Education, Dance Artist and Drama come together. This is where breaks are taken, ideas are exchanged and collaborations begin.

With the 1st Class sofas, Lande contributes to a central meeting place where the academy visibly connects, offering space for rest, focus and interaction within a vibrant learning environment.
