(Dutch furniture manufacturer of the brands Artifort, Lande, Pörtner en Zwaardvis – Chamber of Commerce numbers 16047876, 88826, 16030672 and 34146583), hereinafter jointly referred to in this privacy statement as Lande Group, respects the privacy of website visitors, customers and partners, and processes all data confidentially and in accordance with the European General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR).

On this page you will find our privacy policy in the form of frequently asked questions and answers. This allows you to easily find the information you are looking for. This privacy statement relates to every processing of personal data of our (potential) relations and users of our websites and other services.

When does our privacy statement apply?

Our privacy statement applies to every processing of personal data of our (potential) relations and users of our websites. By personal data we mean information that can be directly or indirectly traced back to an individual, without necessarily knowing that individual’s name. Examples include customer numbers, address details, place of residence, email address, telephone number, cookie IDs and financial data.

We consider it important that our services are reliable and transparent. We therefore handle your personal data discreetly and carefully and ensure that every processing of your data complies with applicable laws and regulations (GDPR). We may amend our privacy statement if new developments require us to do so.

You can always read the latest version on this page to stay informed of any changes. In case of important changes, we will actively inform you via our website and possibly through other channels.

Who processes your data and who protects it?

Lande Group is responsible for processing your data. This means that Lande Group determines how and which of your data is processed, for what purposes, on which legal grounds and for how long it is retained. We do not process your data without reason and only when necessary for one or more specific purposes.

In the Dealer Locator you will find links to websites of other parties, such as our dealers. Although we have carefully selected these parties, we are not responsible for any processing of data via these websites. Lande Group is not the data controller for such processing and this privacy statement does not apply to those websites.

What data do we process?

When you visit our website, we process certain data about you. This includes your IP address, but also your click behaviour, so that we can serve you in a more personalised and relevant way. By means of cookies, we can see which parts of the website you have viewed. We may also process data when you place an order with Lande Group, ask a question to our customer service or provide us with a business card.

We do not process your data without reason and only when necessary for one or more specific purposes. Lande Group may process the following personal data:

Initials, first name, last name and any prefix
Email address, postal address and (mobile) telephone number
The company details where you are employed
Other data necessary for the delivery of our products and services
Data about your visit to our websites, including the IP address of your device
Data you provide in the context of a job application.

In many cases, you provide this personal data to Lande Group yourself, for example by asking a question, providing a business card, subscribing to the newsletter or applying for a job at Lande Group.

If you do not provide all required personal data, Lande Group may not be able to (fully) perform the delivery of products and/or services.

What do we use your data for?

Lande Group does not process your data without reason and only when necessary for one or more specific purposes. We may use your personal data for the following:

To contact you in response to a question or request
To enter into an agreement, perform the agreement and deliver our products and/or services
To comply with legal obligations
To carry out marketing activities, including sending newsletters and invitations for trade fairs and partner events (see further explanation below)
To monitor and improve the user-friendliness of our website
To process a job application
The processing of personal data takes place in the performance of an agreement or with your consent.

Marketing activities

If you have created a Lande account, subscribed to the digital newsletter or purchased one or more items and registered your product(s), we may subsequently approach you for marketing purposes. We do this via various expressions and channels. In addition, we may combine data from other parties with data we already have about you. We only do this with your consent.

By analysing your behaviour based on our marketing expressions, we can better tailor our information and offers to your personal preferences. This involves profiling: any form of automated processing of personal data in which certain personal aspects are evaluated to predict your personal preferences, interests and behaviour. For this purpose, we use cookie data and account data (and, with your consent, data from other parties).

“Personalised rows” of items in our emails
Birthday discount codes
Advertising banners featuring items you have previously viewed

We analyse how effective our campaigns are based on your behaviour. For example, whether you click through emails or banners to view products, and how well our banner advertisements perform.

Social media

If you communicate with one of the Lande Group brands via social media, for example by posting a comment, uploading media, sending a message, sharing an article from our website or clicking a like button, we may receive data such as your (user) name, place of residence, email address and gender.

If you ask a question via social media, we store the data we receive together with the data we already have about you. This allows us to respond as effectively as possible and serve you more personally in the future.

Sometimes we may link your social media activities to ours. For example, if you publicly share a photo via your social media account of a Lande design you have purchased using the hashtag #lande, we may repost that photo on our accounts. We do not do this automatically, as we first make a selection of photos. When reposting, we always mention your account name. If you would like us to remove your photo, please send us a private message via our accounts. We will respond as soon as possible.

The terms, privacy and cookie statements of the relevant social media platforms apply to the use of platforms such as Facebook, Instagram, Pinterest, Twitter or YouTube, not ours. We recommend reading them carefully.

Special promotions

You may occasionally participate in special promotions of Lande Group brands, such as savings campaigns, competitions or prize draws. In such cases, we may ask you to complete an online form.

We need your name, address, place of residence, age, telephone number and email address to confirm your participation and send prizes or benefits. We also process your acceptance of our general terms and conditions and data relating to your participation.

Customer satisfaction survey

To improve your customer experience and our products and services, we need insight into the experience and satisfaction of our relations.

How long do we retain your data?

In general, Lande Group does not retain your data longer than necessary for the purpose for which it was collected. After that, we delete or anonymise the data. Anonymising means ensuring that the data can no longer be traced back to you. In some cases, we are legally required to retain certain data longer.

< 2 years

If no further correspondence takes place after initial contact and no agreement is concluded, your personal data will be removed in our annual data clean-up.
Personal data provided in a job application will be removed annually after rejection, unless otherwise agreed.

7 years

Retention of accounting and administrative records
Retention for warranty handling (counted from the day we process the complaint)
Tax documentation and reports relating to deliveries, imports and exports
Payment overviews/invoices
Orders and proof of delivery
All purchase reports relating to goods, import and export.

Marketing activities only with consent
Personal data for which you have explicitly given consent will be retained as long as Lande Group uses that data for marketing activities. You may withdraw your consent at any time via privacy@lande.group

Which third parties process your data?

We engage third parties for logistics, operational support, marketing services (such as Google Ads), analytics (such as Google Analytics), IT services, customer satisfaction surveys, special promotions and legally required cooperation with authorities. Where required, we conclude data processing agreements with these parties in accordance with the GDPR.

How do we secure your data?

We take appropriate technical and organisational measures to protect your data, including secure access controls, encryption, system protection, logging and confidentiality obligations for employees and third parties.

Security incident/data breach

In case of a data breach, we act immediately. Where required, we notify the Dutch Data Protection Authority within 72 hours. If the breach poses a high risk to your privacy, we will also inform you. If you discover a security incident, please email privacy@lande.group

What rights do you have?

You have the right to access, rectify, erase, restrict or transfer your data, object to processing and withdraw consent. Requests can be sent to privacy@lande.group

You also have the right to lodge a complaint with the Dutch Data Protection Authority.

Do we use cookies?

Yes, we use functional, analytical and advertising cookies.

Functional – Necessary for website functionality.

Analytical – Google Analytics is used to analyse website usage. IP tracking is anonymised. Cookies are only placed with your consent.

Advertising – Google Ads and Facebook cookies may be used to show relevant advertisements and measure effectiveness. Remarketing cookies expire after 30 days.

Links – External websites may use cookies; please consult their policies.

Social Media – Social sharing buttons may place cookies. Lande Group has no influence over these.
