Forbo linoleum offers a warm, pleasant surface with a matte finish. Made from natural materials, it’s an environmentally friendly choice that is both high-quality and distinctive. The surface is anti-static and resistant to fingerprints, with a natural, inviting texture that encourages touch.
Forbo is constructed on a paper backing and is flexible, consisting of three layers: impregnated paper, linoleum granules, and a protective top layer. The linoleum granules are made from oxidized linseed oil and resin, combined with wood flour, limestone, and pigments.
Wipe the surface with a damp cloth. A mild, pH-neutral cleaner can be used if needed. Spills should be removed immediately.
For deeper cleaning: dissolve 5% pH-neutral cleaner in water and allow to sit for 10 minutes. Gently scrub the surface with a soft brush, then remove the dirty water. Rinse with clean water and allow the surface to dry. Finish by applying a thin maintenance layer of undiluted Forbo Monel and buff the surface smooth with a clean cotton pad.
Sharp objects can scratch the surface, so handle with care. Remove spills immediately to avoid damage. To prevent stubborn marks or rings, always use coasters under plant pots, vases, cups, etc. For tough stains, such as ink or marker, use a clean cloth with a pH-neutral cleaner and treat gently.
