The sculptural quality, that is what Wout is all about, whether he designs a chair or makes a pair of shoes. The rich design history is his source of inspiration. Wout Speyers (1968, Nijmegen) studied both Architecture and Industrial Design at the Technical University in Delft. In 1996 he graduated in the field of tunindustrial design and architecture. He designed a still-existing museum for posters at the Spuiplein station in the Hague Tramtunnel. Subsequently, he specialized in furniture in the United States, as head of product development at Goelst USA. Back in the Netherlands, Wout worked as a product designer at UMS Pastoe in Utrecht, specialized in cabinetry. Since 2008 he has been successfully designing tables, chairs and benches in-house. Wout's work is recognized. He was a finalist in the Design Talent Award of Montis & Elle Decoration as well as in the W.H. Gispen Award. He twice won the Gold Award, Best of Neocon in Chicago, USA. His work has also been awarded with the Buildings Product Innovations Merit Award, The Architectural Products Magazine Product's Innovation Award and The Architect's Newspaper's Best of Product Award.
